Burnout Basics: What is Neurodivergent Burnout?

Here’s a preview of Lesson 2 of the Neurodivergent Burnout Recovery Plan Course.

For this section, you’ll begin to assess where you are in the burnout recovery cycle. This will help you:

  • Understand your signs of burnout

  • Understand what you’re like when you’re well

  • Be able to act sooner to reduce or prevent burnout

  • Be better able to communicate with loved ones, supporters, and people providing accommodations the signs you might need support and when you are okay

Questions We’ll Be Considering

  • What is neurodivergent burnout and how does it compare to other types of burnout?

  • What are your signs of burnout?

  • What are you like when you’re well? This is important to have as part of your plan so people don’t mistake normal behavior for signs of a problem or try to make you mask.

  • How do we support each other?
